Now that’s all cool and awesome, but so is file editing on the fly. Under this term, I think about renaming your file or editing some basic info about it. If you want to edit your files, you can simply use a hotkey or click on the Edit option. In the end, Commander One is truly a software for multitasking purposes.Įditing your files was never this easy as it’s with this app. This adds that bonus layer of versatility and of course, multitasking. ![]() Not only that you can open an unlimited number of tabs, but those tabs contain a separate info about each and every folder. ![]() It’s cool to open several tabs and work, but how about unlimited tabs? Well, that’s where Commander One comes into play. Unlimited tabsįor those of you who often perform complex operations and work with tons of files, these are the bright news. With FTPS, you can now transfer your files to a remote server with higher security and with SFTP, your files will undergo more reliable data transfer and stream. Hell yeah! Commander One ditches a single panel in favor of two of them and lets you connect to remote servers through FTP, FTPS, and SFTP. Instead, a quality cloud service should do the job! Should you want to copy or move your data to a cloud storage, you can do that, too! Eltima did a pretty good job of optimizing this app for speed and accuracy.įTP is what we need and it’s what we get here. As this is an FTP app, you can save your space by not keeping some of the files on your HDD. The optimization is quite good, allowing you to save more time and disk space at the same time. I was amazed at how Commander One performed. I was constantly moving and editing my files, so I’ve done a lot of complex and simple operations. I mean, you can try it for yourself and see what I’m talking about. When it comes to speed, Commander One is pretty much one of the best apps for Mac out there. Yes, it’s the amazing speed and optimization. Let’s begin with the feature that’s probably going to make you thirsty for Commander One. But, is it really true? I think it’s time to find out now. With all of these impressive interface features, Commander One must surely have an impressive set of features when it comes to the performance. If that isn’t simple, I don’t know what is! The interface is pretty comprehensible, smooth and very easy to get into. If you want to copy something, well, just press F5, create a new folder with F7 and paste it with F6. To make things better, you can customize them on your own and create your perfect hotkey combo. What I like about the interface is the support for hotkeys which are clearly displayed in the bottom part of your Commander One window. Of course, the main feature is a huge dual-pane interface, sporting all of your files and folders. Just under that, there are various directories where you can quickly search for the file or folder you need. In the top left corner, we have buttons like Network and Process Viewer and this applies to both sides. Being a dual-pane file manager, you’ll find your workflow very smooth, responsive and sweet. For example, the app sports a dual-pane view, making it much easier to use. You know, there is a bit of everything for everyone. But it also allows us to change the permissions of the files, something that in many cases we can only do it from the web panel. When it comes to the interface, Commander One is pretty shiny at first glance. Can perform several processes that take time together, since as we create them they will be added to the queue so that they are carried out in a faster way than if they are executed together.Īlso allows us remote access to FTP, SFTP or FTPS servers, where it will show us the local and remote folders together to be able to move files in a simpler way, simply by dragging. With Commander One Pro we can easily create, delete, open, move and rename files and folders, in addition to making use of extensions to search for files in a faster way. or in FTP servers, to maintain a web page. But thanks to the Commander One Pro app, my opinion has changed considerably.Ĭommander One Pro is an application that allows us to manage each and every one of the files that we store on our computer, but not only locally, but we can also manage Manage the files that we have stored remotely either in clouds like Dropbox, iCloud. As a user of both operating systems, I must admit that I am more comfortable with the Windows file explorer than with the Finder. When it comes to managing files, the Finder is the only option we have natively, but in most cases it may fall short, especially if we are used to working daily also with Windows, where the file explorer lets us get into the folder we want and do and undo as we like. ![]()
